The “Mississippi Unquenchable Grail Zymurgists”, better known as MUGZ, was founded in the early 1990’s.

MUGZ is the Quad Cities’ area homebrew club focused simply on enjoying good homebrew with good people. MUGZ members are as diverse as the Quad Cities, but we share one common love- BREWING GOOD BEER!

Whether you enjoy a cool Bohemian Pilsener, a fine German Lager, or a creamy Irish Stout, you can find someone to share it with in MUGZ. Regardless if you are just beginning with extract brewing, are in between with partial mashing, or an all-grain brewer; you will find fellow members to talk with and learn from.

Each year, MUGZ participates in AHA sanctioned events, as well as a few of our own design.  MUGZ  sponsors our very own annual homebrewing competition each November called Land of the Muddy Waters.

Monthly meetings are generally at 2pm on the last Sunday of every month; check the home page for location, and any changes. Each meeting entails club business, an educational segment, camaraderie and sampling. Dues are $24/person or $36/couple yearly, and are prorated, and payable by cash or check at any meeting. New members are always welcome.
